Raleigh and Eric, we had such a great time photographing your wedding! You put up with the heat (and the bugs!) and I'm super happy with what we came away with! I can't wait to show you the rest!
Thanks so much for choosing us to photograph your lovely wedding--we hope you enjoy your photographs as much as we enjoyed taking them. :-)

Holly and Joel

the lovely ladies...
hanging out with the guys... Oh, and real men can definitely pull off pink!
a long walk down the aisle
a celebratory kiss!
just a quick portrait--traditional style
not so traditional...
You'd hardly know that we were right outside the Hotel where the reception was being held.
I liked both of these and couldn't decide which one to post--so I decided to post both of them!
this father daughter dance may have been my favorite of all time. I admit it, I cried.
I'm a sucker for dancing pictures!

Holly and Joel,
It was such a joy to photograph your wedding! You're fantastic together and it was wonderful to share the day with you. Everything was beautiful, but your love for each other and the faith you share is definitely the best part. We wish you the best in your lives together!
I can't wait to show you the rest of your pictures! I'm working on them now and will have them for you soon!

Wednesday
Kari and Gene
We had such a fun time! Kari and Gene put up with the heat like troopers--thankfully it didn't rain until well into the reception--and I'm so excited with how everything turned out!
Here's a little sneak peak at some of my favorites from the day.

the stunningly beautiful bride!
this is definitely one of my favorites! The light was amazing!
a little dip...
so cute guys--you're adorable together!
the wedding party--who completely rocked. Any wedding photographer knows that a great wedding party makes our jobs so much more fun and enjoyable.

Kari and Gene, I hope you two had a wonderful honeymoon with lots of well-deserved rest! Your wedding was beautiful! Thanks for asking us to be a part of it! I look forward to seeing you guys and catching up soon!

Friday
ouch
ouch! That's an expensive shoot.
I hope your day goes a lot better than it did for these guys. :-)
We're busy getting some images and album spreads ready--we have some new art stuff coming and major website revamps in the works. Stay tuned. :-)
One month ago today...
On April 30th 2008, Our friend Bryce and the 849th MAC returned from being stationed in Iraq. It was an incredible privilege for us to be asked to document the day, and to participate in the joys of the families reunited with their loved ones.
I admit it, I totally cried.
Enjoy the slideshow. :-)
Wednesday
They chose the Reidel Farm Estate for their intimate brunch wedding. With a full service espresso bar, an amazing brunch menu, and a dixieland band, how could you not have a great time?
Even better (in our biased oppinion of course), they took plenty of time for their photographs--even planning a little time after the wedding to come play at the Guthrie Theatre with us. :-)
Here's a small glimpse of the day...

Tuesday

The Polar Bear Plunge
Participants raise money for the Special Olympics by being sponsored to jump en-masse through a hole cut in the ice. While I'm not ready to shed my camera and jump into the icy water yet (remember, I'm from Oregon, I'm still getting used to all these Minnesotan traditions!)--it sure was a blast capturing it for posterity. Here are some of my favorite shots from the day.
This is one of my favorites--check out the guy on the far right!

Quite the sense of accomplishment for everyone involved

The Cities 97 crew got in on the fun

Some of the notable costumes included the Oompa-loompa's
and the cast from Saturday Night Live

Of course it wasn't all cold and unpleasant...

A few of the volunteers who made it all possible...

Wednesday
a Winter Wedding
The rings...

Laura looked absolutely stunning!!

At their "First Look" Laura and Chas shared some tender moments before the ceremony...
Not only that, but they were brave enough to play in the snow with me!! (putting them well up on my list of favorite people) Check out this romantic shot we found outside the church.
Immediately after the ceremony Chas gave me this priceless look... I just love it!
Playing around some more in the snow... Poor Laura in her sleaveless dress did an amazing job, not complaining about the cold at all!
"I say chap, nice monocle." :-) More playing around. We had an eyepatch too... but I'll spare you the really goofy stuff for now.
A few portraits inside. The church had this funky green wall with fun art and great leather chairs that I just couldn't pass up.

Anna

I love smiles--but I've become a huge fan of a serious look or two as well... the color here is just yummy...
A gorgeous smile!
And lastly, Anna was game to play in the dark with us!Thanks for humoring us girl!! Hope you like how it came out. :-)

Friday
a sweet engagement
I'm taking a short break from editing today to share with you one of the cutest engagements I've seen in a while. This guy went all out... check it out.
Wednesday
Kari and Stephen
After an intimate ceremony at the Peace Garden in Minneapolis, we went on a photographic tour of the city--so much fun!
Even though we hadn't known Kari and Stephen long, it was obvious to us they were perfect for one another. I just love being a part of weddings like this!

Monday
So much to post... where to start?
While it has left us little time to keep up on things like blogging (sorry everyone!) it has been a blast working with our couples this year. I swear, we have the best clients ever!
I'm going to try to catch up on the blogging here over the next few days. On August 1st, we're heading to Louisiana for Julie and Evan's wedding August 4th. Back home on the 5th, and back to work right away... We just finished a bridal session with Julie--and wow!~ so much fun! I won't post any of the images until after the wedding (we don't want her husband-to-be to get a sneak peek at the bride), but I can't wait to share some of them with you.
For now, let me introduce you to Mandy and Noah. Such a sweet couple! We had a great time over at the lakes and uptown--and finished things off with a cup of coffee while talking over wedding details.
Mandy and Noah put up with some of my crazy ideas, and I'm really happy with the way things turned out. Take a look...
