Comtemporary Love ~ Walker Style

We recently had the pleasure of photographing Clint and Bernadette's wedding at The Walker Art Museum in Minneapolis. SO MUCH FUN! This fab couple had planned so many fun details, and a fab menu that made their day so uniquely them, yet so classy and elegant.

Check out a few samples from their day!

What a fabulous bridal set! Nice Job Clint!!

Clint and Bernadette, thanks for choosing us to photograph your wedding, putting up with my rather corny jokes and crazy ideas. Your wedding was amazing--these pictures barely scratch the surface of your beautiful day and I'm so excited to show you the rest!

Holly and Joel

Last month we had the pleasure of photographing Holly and Joel's wedding at the Saint Paul Cathedral.

Amazing is a great way to begin describing the day. Check out a few of their images!

You'd hardly know that we were right outside the Hotel where the reception was being held.

I liked both of these and couldn't decide which one to post--so I decided to post both of them!

this father daughter dance may have been my favorite of all time. I admit it, I cried.

I'm a sucker for dancing pictures!

Holly and Joel,

It was such a joy to photograph your wedding! You're fantastic together and it was wonderful to share the day with you. Everything was beautiful, but your love for each other and the faith you share is definitely the best part. We wish you the best in your lives together!
I can't wait to show you the rest of your pictures! I'm working on them now and will have them for you soon!

Wednesday

Kari and Gene

We took a little road trip earlier this month to go photograph Kari and Gene's wedding in Primghar, Iowa--Kari's hometown.

We had such a fun time! Kari and Gene put up with the heat like troopers--thankfully it didn't rain until well into the reception--and I'm so excited with how everything turned out!

Here's a little sneak peak at some of my favorites from the day.

Friday

Friday Inspiration

Chase your dreams.

ouch

I have many goals in my photography career, but I have to say, this is not one of them...

ouch! That's an expensive shoot.

I hope your day goes a lot better than it did for these guys. :-)

We're busy getting some images and album spreads ready--we have some new art stuff coming and major website revamps in the works. Stay tuned. :-)

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

That's what little girls are made of...

Can I take them home... please?

I LOVE these kids! Seriously, so adorable!

I'm finally getting to the updating of the blog, and here are a few recent kiddo portraits.
When we have kids, I hope they are half as cute as my friend Shannon's

One month ago today...

On April 30th 2008, Our friend Bryce and the 849th MAC returned from being stationed in Iraq. It was an incredible privilege for us to be asked to document the day, and to participate in the joys of the families reunited with their loved ones.
I admit it, I totally cried.

Enjoy the slideshow. :-)

Wednesday

Andrea and Scott were married last month in Minneapolis, and even though it was still a bit cold outside, it was such a fun day that no one seemed to mind.
They chose the Reidel Farm Estate for their intimate brunch wedding. With a full service espresso bar, an amazing brunch menu, and a dixieland band, how could you not have a great time?
Even better (in our biased oppinion of course), they took plenty of time for their photographs--even planning a little time after the wedding to come play at the Guthrie Theatre with us. :-)

Here's a small glimpse of the day...

Andrea and Scott, We had such a great time with you guys! Thanks for your sweet spirits and up-for-anything attitudes. You are so sweet together--It was our pleasure to share your wedding day with you!

Here's a bit longer glimpse into the day. Enjoy.

Tuesday

April Showers and Wedded Bliss

Chad and Amee were married early this month at Northwestern College in the midst of one of our beautiful Spring rains.
Much to my delight, the awesome couple didn't let the rain stop hamper their joy in the day--or our photography plans (I love you guys!) and we had an amazing time capturing their wedding-day photographs. Even more fun, they gave us an extended time with just the two of them to get some really romantic glimpses of their relationship. Here's a sneak peak at some of my favorites from the day.

Chad and Amee, thanks so much for choosing us to document your day! It was so much fun getting to know you both--you're absolutely adorable together!

Tuesday

Our cute sweet adorable loveable hound...

Dietrich (our pound pup) and I went for one last "farewell to winter" snowy walk this morning... Isn't he just adorable. I've never had a better--or crazier dog in my entire life. We just love this guy!

Monday

The Polar Bear Plunge

Earlier this month I had the privilege of photographing the Polar Bear Plunge at Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis

Participants raise money for the Special Olympics by being sponsored to jump en-masse through a hole cut in the ice. While I'm not ready to shed my camera and jump into the icy water yet (remember, I'm from Oregon, I'm still getting used to all these Minnesotan traditions!)--it sure was a blast capturing it for posterity. Here are some of my favorite shots from the day.

This is one of my favorites--check out the guy on the far right!

Quite the sense of accomplishment for everyone involved

The Cities 97 crew got in on the fun

Some of the notable costumes included the Oompa-loompa's

and the cast from Saturday Night Live

Of course it wasn't all cold and unpleasant...

a Winter Wedding

This past weekend we were blessed with fantastic Weather for Chas and Laura's wedding!

The rings...

Laura looked absolutely stunning!!

At their "First Look" Laura and Chas shared some tender moments before the ceremony...

Not only that, but they were brave enough to play in the snow with me!! (putting them well up on my list of favorite people) Check out this romantic shot we found outside the church.

Immediately after the ceremony Chas gave me this priceless look... I just love it!

Playing around some more in the snow... Poor Laura in her sleaveless dress did an amazing job, not complaining about the cold at all!

"I say chap, nice monocle." :-) More playing around. We had an eyepatch too... but I'll spare you the really goofy stuff for now.

A few portraits inside. The church had this funky green wall with fun art and great leather chairs that I just couldn't pass up.

What an elegant couple!

Chas and Laura your wedding day was absolutely beautiful!! Thanks for braving the snow and the cold with us, and giving us time to be creative with you. You guys are amazing!
Love,
Teichroew Photography

A Beautiful Night in the Sunken Gardens...

We had a lovely time with Melissa and Luke in the Sunken Gardens at Como Park.

They had a beautiful intimate ceremony and reception in one of the most scenic wedding sites in the Twin Cities!

Here's a sneak peak at their wedding images--the full galleries will be up soon!

Fall Colors

Here's a quick look at Crysta and Jeremy's wedding in Grand Rapids. I'm just finishing up their proofing galleries and thought I'd get a few online for you to enjoy. :-)

the LOVELY bride.
Crysta was absolutely stunning!
Right after the ceremony--their first private moment
(I don't count... like a ninja, I hide in the shadows... *smile*)
This one is a little over saturated, and I may tone it down a bit (I haven't decided yet)--but I really do love the color...

The fall colors were AMAZING! Way to pick the date guys!!

Wednesday

Justin and Winny

We had a fantastic time with Justin and Winny last month!

With a beautiful ceremony and reception at the Midland Hills Country Club--lovely colors for the wedding party, and photogenic genes, this makes my job look easy. :-)

Winny about to meet Justin for the fist time on the wedding day

the first sight
more shots I just thought were too cute not to share...

the junior attendants did an awesome job putting it on for the camera :-)

new siblings

and one of my favorite family portraits of the year! I just love it!

Justin and Winny thanks so much for choosing us to photograph your wedding! We had such a fun time--your wedding day and all the details were beautiful. It was our priviledge to share it with you.

Monday

Singing in the rain with Adam and Megan

Thursday

Anna

We had a great time last week hanging with Anna, her mom Julie and sister Rebecca.
We started Anna's senior pictures with a bookstore as Anna is an avid reader (a girl after my own heart!) Mager's and Quinn in Uptown was kind enough to let us play in their shop for a while--I'm really happy with how they worked out.

I love smiles--but I've become a huge fan of a serious look or two as well... the color here is just yummy...

This shot has a totally moody feel to it... I just love it!
A gorgeous smile!

And lastly, Anna was game to play in the dark with us!
Thanks for humoring us girl!! Hope you like how it came out. :-)

Friday

a sweet engagement

I'm taking a short break from editing today to share with you one of the cutest engagements I've seen in a while. This guy went all out... check it out.

Wednesday

Kari and Stephen

We had such a fabulous time with Kari and Stephen!
After an intimate ceremony at the Peace Garden in Minneapolis, we went on a photographic tour of the city--so much fun!

Even though we hadn't known Kari and Stephen long, it was obvious to us they were perfect for one another. I just love being a part of weddings like this!

Monday

So much to post... where to start?

Well our busy wedding season is in full swing--and we're loving it!

While it has left us little time to keep up on things like blogging (sorry everyone!) it has been a blast working with our couples this year. I swear, we have the best clients ever!

I'm going to try to catch up on the blogging here over the next few days. On August 1st, we're heading to Louisiana for Julie and Evan's wedding August 4th. Back home on the 5th, and back to work right away... We just finished a bridal session with Julie--and wow!~ so much fun! I won't post any of the images until after the wedding (we don't want her husband-to-be to get a sneak peek at the bride), but I can't wait to share some of them with you.

For now, let me introduce you to Mandy and Noah. Such a sweet couple! We had a great time over at the lakes and uptown--and finished things off with a cup of coffee while talking over wedding details.
Mandy and Noah put up with some of my crazy ideas, and I'm really happy with the way things turned out. Take a look...

so cute! I can't wait for the wedding.
